A Memorial is a personal and enduring symbol to a dearly loved family member. As such, it should reflect the thoughts of those remaining, and the character of the person it is dedicated to.
It is important to take time and care when choosing a memorial, and the designs in this brochure merely act as a guide. Any of the memorials can be manufactured in any of the stones (subject to local restrictions).
Our masons are able to advise you on the vast variety of natural stone available. For example, fine marbles from Italy, coloured granites from India, China & Scandinavia, or slate, celtic stone, purbeck stone or other limestone or sandstone from throughout Great Britain.
If you would like to personalise the memorial in shape or ornamentation, our master masons at The Stone Shop use traditional methods to hand carve personal designs and inscriptions, and would be pleased to discuss your requirements.
The majority of memorial designs can be scaled down for installation in the children's or cremation sections of churchyards or cemeteries.
It is worth noting that churches and cemeteries often have local regulations regarding memorial designs and sizes permitted within. Our staff can advise you on these particular regulations.
Our fixers have obtained the BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) fixer's licence, and are therefore bound by BRAMMs strict memorial installation requirements. Our company prides itself on the service it provides.
